Service Description
Welcome to Basic Handgun! In this class, students will learn the basic knowledge of handguns, their operation, ammunition, firearms safety and storage, and the fundamentals of pistol shooting. Students will also implement those skills in both dry fire and live fire exercises at an approved, safe, controlled shooting range alongside the instructor who will provide real-time feedback and corrections. GENERAL CLASS INFORMATION: - All instruction and dry-fire drills are conducted in a controlled classroom environment. - All live-fire exercises are conducted at an indoor, climate controlled, licensed, spacious shooting range. - No ammunition will be present in the classroom. - Students CAN bring their own firearm and ammunition (cased, locked, and separate) to this class with the following restrictions: - Students not using a 9mm handgun will be required to provide their own ammunition (50 rounds). - If using a 9mm handgun, the instructor will provide ammunition. - All student handguns and ammunition must be approved by the instructor (see questions at checkout when registering for the class). If a student's equipment is not allowed for safety reasons, instructor-owned firearms will be used. Student ammo will be inspected on class day. - All students' firearms and ammunition will be inspected and secured upon instructor's arrival for class. Ammunition is unnecessary and will not be present during the classroom portion of the class and will be secured away from training until utilized later at the range. Firearms will be cleared by the instructor and CAN be used in the classroom for dry-fire exercises. - Students may use instructor-owned firearms and ammunition at no additional cost. CLASS REQUIREMENTS: - Students must be 18 years of age OR permitted and accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times (minimum child age 13). Parents of minors will be required to sign a liability release waiver for themselves and on behalf of their child (if under 18 years of age). Parents are responsible for their children at ALL times, no exceptions. - All students must sign a liability release waiver before class starts. Students may sign the waiver the day of class.
Cancellation Policy
Instructor-led courses require advanced planning and instructor costs. For this reason, all course sales are final and will not be refunded. However, students may reschedule their purchased course for a future course date free of charge if they are unable to attend the originally scheduled course for any reason. If a student does not reschedule their course, and the course date passes, the student will not be refunded.
*All students attending an in-person firearms-related class will be required to read and sign a liability release waiver prior to attending class (not required for online or pop-up classes). This waiver will be available via the order confirmation page for students to print, read, sign (digital signatures are acceptable), and bring to the class.*
